Studio Pilates improve aspects such as strength, flexibility, co-ordination and posture with a strong focus on training your postural and stability muscles, making it ideal for those recovering from injuries and perfect for those looking for fitness and muscle toning.

They are a safe and effective form of exercise which is suitable for anyone of any age and of any fitness or ability. 

Over a series of sessions, the Pilates Physiotherapist will devise a personalised program specific to your needs and any injuries that you may have.

– Athletes/Dancers: Specific programs for strength, flexibility and performance.

– Elderly or Arthritic Clients: Low impact exercise improving mobility, posture and muscular support of joints with the freedom to work at your own pace.

Class Descriptions

Reformer classes

A smaller group class of six, designed for those wanting to take their bodies to the next level.

The Pilates reformer apparatus is utilised to work muscles through their entire range whilst minimising joint impact. Using spring resistance to vary intensity, the physiotherapist will guide you through a one hour dynamic work out aimed to target the entire body!

A perfect balance of stretching, strengthening and toning with a little cardio thrown in for good measure. It is ideal for those wanting to improve mobility, increase muscle strength, enhance body awareness and challenge their fitness!

Mums + Bubs

Want a safe and effective way to return to exercise after delivery? Then this is the class for you!

Our one hour postnatal exercise classes have been carefully designed by our accredited Pelvic Health Physiotherapist, to guide women through exercise from 6 weeks to 6 months postnatal.

Bring bub along with you to join in the start of the class, after which they are looked after by our volunteer minder, whilst we pump up the intensity with specific and targeted exercises to improve muscle strength and endurance, increase fitness, facilitate pregnancy weight loss, improve energy and reduce feelings of anxiety and depression.

The classes have a specific focus on pelvic floor and lower abdominal rehabilitation which can help reduce your risk of developing problems such as incontinence (leakage), prolapse, tummy muscle separation and pain. Your pre-exercise assessment includes an individualised real-time ultrasound assessment of these muscles to ensure you are engaging them correctly, as well as a screen of any bladder, bowel and musculoskeletal problems.

With a maximum of 8 participants, you can be rest assured that you will receive the upmost care and attention whilst being challenged to achieve your personal exercise and fitness goals.
